Our swim families will tell you that back to school is a good time to start swim lessons.
The summer’s almost over and there’s a sense of anticipation in the air. Kids are excited about connecting with old and new friends at school. Parents are busy arranging carpools and rearranging schedules.
The new school year embodies a sense of excitement for all. It’s a time of new beginnings.
So, what better time to introduce Njswim swim lessons into your kid’s schedule?
Swim Lessons—A Fun After School Activity
When kids get home from school, they need to recharge.
They have had a demanding day full of lessons, peer pressure, and lots of sitting still.
Perhaps they choose to unwind with a tv show or a video game.
As parents, you can offer them much better than that!
Swimming is a great exercise. Kids develop strong and healthy bodies while learning an important, lifelong skill.
Njswim students make new friends, get to know cool instructors, and enjoy learning to swim in a warm, comfortable pool.
Swimming Teaches Valuable Skills
Swim lessons help students work through leftover stress from their school routine.
Whether learning to tie a shoelace or ride a bike, kids love gaining new skills. It makes them feel more accomplished and more powerful.
At our swim schools, parents can watch their kids show off their new skills from a comfortable parent viewing area.
Benefits of swim lessons include improved:
- Fine and gross motor skills
- Coordination
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Cognitive development
- Physical development
- Independence
What other after-school activity offers so much to your child?
Njswim Means Fun, Safety and Being Positive!
At Njswim, our number one concern is always water safety. But we never forget about fun.
It all starts with a positive atmosphere!
Our highly trained swim teachers help students feel welcomed, have fun, and build confidence.
Njswim’s “learn to float” philosophy shows kids how to feel one with the water. Learning to swim becomes a natural and relaxing experience.
We also have special times for family swim activities. And you can even plan a special party event.
Plan a Special Swim Event for Your Child
Are you trying to come up with an exciting way to reward your child for great schoolwork?
A pool party at Njswim can be the perfect reward.
Your child can even have a special happy birthday tribute on our fun birthday float.
Our parties last for 2 hours with up to 90 minutes of private pool open swim time.
A certified lifeguard will be present at all times.
You’ll also enjoy help with party set up and clean up.
Make Swimming a Year-Round Activity
Swimming isn’t just a summer activity, so we offer swim lessons all year.
Students benefit from steady year-round learning, taking breaks when they need to for vacation or family trips.
Swim lessons also provide rare exercise opportunities in the colder winter months.
And they can help keep your child in top shape for when spring sports start.
Continue Summer Fun with Swim Lessons in the Fall
Is your kid already feeling sad that they’ll miss their swim friends from the pool or lake?
Community and swim club pools are getting ready to close after Labor Day.
But at Njswim we’re just starting our fall swim fun!
The Swim Lessons We Offer
Our popular Water Babies class is open for babies from 3 to 30 months.
We offer small group classes, of no more than three, where kids can socialize and learn with other kids—but never feel lost in the crowd.
We welcome older kids who don’t know how to swim very well—or who never learned to swim at all. If your child has never taken swim lessons before, you may want to read our guide to what every parent should know about first time swim lessons.
Our small group swim lessons allow kids to get comfortable and learn in the water without feeling watched or judged by larger, sometimes intimidating, peer groups.
New students always take a short swim assessment so we can place them in a class at their swim level.
We also offer lessons to students wanting to prep for swim teams or gain lifeguard certification.
Your Kids Learn Water Safety
An important benefit of kids taking swim lessons at Njswim is our focus on water safety. Kids from pre-school and elementary school learn the importance of how to be safe in and around the water.
Think Ahead to Next Summer
This year on vacation, did your kids miss out on the fun because they didn’t know how to swim? Did it restrict their fun in the pool or at the beach?
Were you constantly worried about keeping them safe in the water?
If you sign them up for swim lessons this fall, next summer they will be stronger and safer in the water. Your kids will be happier, and you’ll be able to worry just a little less.
Our trained swim teachers can help your child lose their fear of water—but still respect the water.
As part of our safety program—part of all swim lessons—they will learn:
- How to recognize drowning risks
- How to protect themselves and others in and around the water
- Preventive safety measures
- How to respond in an emergency
Whether taking lessons, hosting a party, or enjoying a fun family water activity, kids will think of their time at Njswim as some of their favorite hours in their busy week.
