New State-of-the-Art Swim School by New Jersey’s Leader in Swim Lessons
Turnersville, NJ – New Jersey Swim Schools, Inc. is very excited to announce the opening of their new location in Turnersville, NJ. This newest flagship swim center is the seventh location for Njswim, New Jersey’s leader in year-round swim lessons serving 5,000 students each week statewide! Njswim Turnersville is located conveniently in the Cross Keys Commons Shopping Center on Route 42 in Turnersville. The state-of-the-art swim school is family, and water baby friendly, with custom changing rooms, stroller parking and hair drying stations.
The new custom-designed Njswim aquatic center will be open for free swim skills evaluations by appointment on September 15th and 17th. Njswim Turnersville will be open to the public with regularly scheduled swim lessons on Monday, September 20th. There is a press conference and partner day celebration scheduled for Thursday, September 30th from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM.
This newest Njswim facility features a 30’ x 76’ heated indoor pool with state-of-the-art water and air filtration systems. The newest Njswim location also features a comfortable parent viewing area, and multi-purpose studios for toddler through adult programs and pool parties.
Njswim offers quality year-round swim lessons for all ages and abilities, now available at seven premier locations. Their developmental approach to swimming starts with water babies at age 3 months. The program then offers a variety of safety swim lessons for preschoolers, developmental stroke technique for youths and continues to advanced stroke mechanics and swim team prep. Students enrolled in Njswim are led through a series of safety skills designed to enhance the aquatic experience and instill self-confidence in a safe and positive atmosphere.
Njswim’s proprietary “learn to float philosophy” teaches safety first and is the cornerstone to their swim teaching progression. Their curriculum is rooted in a gentle, nurturing approach to what can be a very intimidating lesson in a child’s life.

Njswim Founder- Joe Oehme
Mr. Oehme is a thought leader and action-oriented advocate for water safety in New Jersey. Over the past several years, Assemblyman SEAN T. KEAN – sponsor of State of NJ Water Safety legislation has asked Joe Oehme to provide insight on creation and implementation of Water Safety curriculum to be introduced in NJ public schools. Joe is an active member of the United States Swim School Association, Stop Drowning Now and an advocate for the National Drowning Prevention Alliance.
Joe Oehme is on the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization STOP DROWNING NOW, a global nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to save lives through water safety education. Through a range of programs and events, this group works with water safety advocates by providing them with the educational tools needed to combat the epidemic of drowning and providing a drowning prevention curriculum for school age children.
